The focus of Kids International Ministries is straightforward--to meet the needs of abandoned children and the poor by “showing” them the Gospel. To address the needs of kids and their families in the nearby impoverished settlements, K.I.M. supports a variety of community ministries: Christian education, medical and dental care, livelihood development programs, recreation activities and evangelical outreach ministries.
Not only does K.I.M. serve the nearby impoverished settlements, they also help provide teachers and support staff to Faith Academy, and we are proud to be part of that team. We have listed below a few ministries that Kids International is involved with. How You Can Help!
Bring a Team or Come Alone!
There is always work to be done, and Kids International Ministries is a great place to bring a team of workers, or come alone for a life-changing trip.
Ministries of K.I.M.
Josie's Angels & JAZ Home
In June of 2011, the JAZ home was started. It exists to help girls in their teen years escape abuse in its many forms. Providing the girls with a safe Christian environment in which to live, the JAZ home is also committed to providing education to help the girls accomplish their potential in service to God.
Yunjin Lyso Ministry Center (YMC)
In 2008, facilities were added to provide a central location for the expanding ministry opportunities. The site includes a guest house, ministry offices and a training center. Accommodations include a prayer room, study hall, children's library, wireless internet, air-conditioned rooms, laundry and dining facilities for guests.
New Faith Family Children's Home
Abandoned, neglected and abused kids find safety and love in this nurturing, Christian-based environment. Started in 2005, these homes (located in Manila, Luzon/Malaybalay, Mindanao) have served over 200 children and has helped nearly 20% of these kids find "forever" homes through adoption inside the Philippines and around the world.
Cuatro Christian School (CCS)
CCS serves over 400 students from the Manila Children's home, the Cuatro community and other nearby impoverished areas. Started in 2006, CCS is certified and is proving that its students can overcome the adverse effects of poverty and inconsistent education, and is affecting community change through its partnerships with area churches and its active parent-involvement program.
Adonai Haven of Hope
Adonai Haven of Hope works with women in crisis pregnancy situations and gives them a safe place to live. They help women who are scared, ashamed, or in hiding by sharing with them the Hope we have in Jesus.
Hope Alive Pregnancy Center
New Hope Family Clinic was launched in 2011. It was motivated by a desire to see kids have a great start to life, even while still in the womb. Currently a proactive health screening and educational program for pregnant mothers, the clinic's goal is to help mothers give birth to healthy babies and learn how to meet the essential needs of their young children.
Each week K.I.M. partners with local churches to feed the poor. These intentional acts of love enable God's people to share Christ by feeding people spiritually and physically. Nurses go out each time to care for the sick.
The Philippines is a basketball country, but soccer, volleyball and baseball are on the rise as well. K.I.M. is looking for partners interested in sharing their faith through sports. Scheduled games, trips, camps and clinics as tools to reach the otherwise unreachable.
Wearing Community Cord bracelets allow those endeared to our ministry to show Jesus' love by buying cords woven by women in our community, empowering the to change their families' lives.
