Germany
We were so blessed to be able to fly from the Philippines to Germany, celebrating our nephew and his graduation from high school. Black Forest Academy is located in Kandern, Germany....in the Black Forest region. We flew into Frankfurt and drove 3 hours (317 km) to meet up with Jerry's brother & his family. What a blessed time we had! Beautiful, stunning Germany. Loved our first visit.

Fabric Market
A friend took me to the local fabric market to try and find something that would work for the Alumni bulletin board at school. We found what was needed....but not in this store. Not one to sew, the fabric market really overwhelms me. But thankfully we were successful to get what was needed.

Urbana 2015
Urbana is a missions conference geared toward college students. Jerry and I flew to St Louis, Missouri the last week of 2015 where we joined the crowds and represented Faith Academy in the exhibit hall. 16,000 participants this year!

Dinner & Guest....
After getting our airline tickets straightened out, we stopped for lunch at the brand new Applebees in town. Flag ship of the chain here in Manila and only a couple of weeks open. But along the way....we had a visitor join us. He tucked himself away behind the mirror and stayed with us for about 5 hours of errands. We think he fell off the last 1/2 hour of our drive home.
Pinto Art Museum
October Break! We didn't leave town, but we did a few touristy things in the area. One of the things we did was visit a local museum. We were not really impressed with the art, but the grounds were beautiful!
Day-Trip to Caliraya
Another thing we did was to take a Sunday afternoon drive up to Caliraya, East of us into the Province. We leisurely drove for 5 hours with John & Libby Dreisbach (a missionary family that has been in the Philippines for almost 30 years), stopping when we wanted to and just enjoying the drive....and made it back to town in 3 hours (with a stop for coffee). What a relaxing day for us!
Out and About Town
Bay of Manila
The Bay is a 2-3 hour drive through the city, depending on the traffic and weather conditions. Jerry found a short-cut and we made it in 1-1/2 hours. Not an every-weekend trip, but every once in a while it is worth it!
