Easter Sunday.

We woke up early to attend the Easter Sunrise Service, and while getting ready, realized that fireworks were going off around the area in celebration for our Risen Lord. How awesome that was! We attended sunrise service at Jesus Christ Church of the Valley (JCCV), and then had a baptism immediately following at the Kids International Guest House right next door. Breakfast was served (a hot dog, a piece of bread and coffee) before everyone dispersed. One of our fellow Missionaries with Kids International helped with the baptism.

Manila Pier and Fort Santiago.

Annette was given a chance to go on a tour to see the Manila Pier and tour Fort Santiago with a fellow missionary with OMF. The fort is one of the most important historical sites in Manila. Several lives were lost in its prisons during the Spanish Colonial Period and World War II. A Philippine national hero, was imprisoned here before his execution.
